Well Planned Advertiser Client Guide

Install Your Campaign Tracking Code

This one-time website connection enables Well Planned Advertiser to measure conversions, build retargeting audiences, and optimize your Programmatic and Meta advertising campaigns. Simply follow the instructions for your website platform, publish your changes, and we'll verify everything before your campaign launches.

What You Need

Install this exact Well Planned Advertiser campaign tracking container: GTM-PVRHXN8N

Your website and customer data remain under your control. This tracking enables Well Planned Advertiser to reconnect with visitors who have already shown interest in your organization, improve the performance of your Programmatic and Meta advertising campaigns, and provide accurate reporting on campaign results.
1

Find Your Website Platform

Choose the instructions below that match your website platform, such as WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, or another website builder.

2

Install the Tracking

Install the Well Planned Advertiser tracking by entering the GTM container ID or by adding the provided tracking code to your website.

3

Publish Your Website

Save and publish your changes so the tracking becomes live. Draft or preview changes cannot be detected.

4

We'll Verify Everything

Your Well Planned Advertiser Campaign Manager will confirm the tracking is active, verify your website is ready, and ensure everything is properly connected before your campaign goes live.

Option 1: Install the Tracking Code Manually

Use these instructions if your website does not provide a built-in Google Tag Manager (GTM) integration or a field to enter a Container ID. Copy both code snippets exactly as shown below. Do not modify the tracking container ID.

Recommended: Most websites do not require the manual code below. If your website includes a Google Tag Manager, GTM, or Container ID field, simply enter GTM-PVRHXN8N instead. Use the manual installation only when your platform does not provide a GTM integration.

1. Add to the Website <head>

Copy this code into your website's <head> section, placing it as close to the opening <head> tag as possible.

<!-- Google Tag Manager -->
<script>(function(w,d,s,l,i){w[l]=w[l]||[];w[l].push({'gtm.start':
new Date().getTime(),event:'gtm.js'});var f=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],
j=d.createElement(s),dl=l!='dataLayer'?'&l='+l:'';j.async=true;j.src=
'https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id='+i+dl;f.parentNode.insertBefore(j,f);
})(window,document,'script','dataLayer','GTM-PVRHXN8N');</script>
<!-- End Google Tag Manager -->

2. Add Immediately After <body>

Copy this second snippet immediately after the opening <body> tag on every page of your website.

<!-- Google Tag Manager (noscript) -->
<noscript><iframe src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/ns.html?id=GTM-PVRHXN8N"
height="0" width="0" style="display:none;visibility:hidden"></iframe></noscript>
<!-- End Google Tag Manager (noscript) -->

Tip: If your website platform provides a Google Tag Manager, GTM, or Container ID field, simply enter GTM-PVRHXN8N. Only use the manual code above when your platform does not provide a built-in GTM integration.

Option 2: Install Using Your Website Platform

Most modern website platforms include a built-in Google Tag Manager (GTM) integration or a field for a Container ID. If your menus are named differently, look for options such as Google Tag Manager, Analytics, Marketing Integrations, Custom Code, Header Code, or Script Manager.

WordPress

  1. Install a trusted Google Tag Manager plugin or open your theme or hosting GTM settings.
  2. Enter GTM-PVRHXN8N as your Container ID.
  3. Save your changes, clear any website cache, and publish.

Common locations include GTM plugins, theme settings, header/footer plugins, or your hosting dashboard.

Shopify

  1. Use a Google Tag Manager app or your theme's custom code or integration settings.
  2. Add the Container ID or install the GTM code.
  3. Publish your live theme and verify your storefront is live.

Your storefront and campaign landing pages should all load the tracking container.

Wix

  1. Open Marketing Integrations and select Google Tag Manager.
  2. Enter GTM-PVRHXN8N.
  3. Save and publish your website.

Wix's built-in integration is recommended over manual code installation.

Squarespace

  1. Open Settings → Advanced → Code Injection.
  2. Add the tracking code in the appropriate Header and Body locations.
  3. Save and publish your website.

Install the tracking globally rather than on individual pages.

BigCommerce

  1. Open Storefront → Script Manager or use a GTM integration.
  2. Install the tracking site-wide.
  3. Save your changes and clear storefront cache if needed.

Magento / Adobe Commerce

  1. Use your analytics configuration or a trusted GTM extension.
  2. Enter GTM-PVRHXN8N.
  3. Save your configuration, clear cache, and deploy.

  1. Open Project Settings → Custom Code.
  2. Add the tracking code to the Head and Body code areas.

  3. Publish your school and verify your public pages.

HubSpot, GoDaddy, Duda & Similar Builders

  2. Add the tracking code globally.
  3. Save and publish your website.

ClickFunnels, Leadpages & Landing Page Builders

  1. Open your account-wide tracking or analytics settings.
  2. Install the tracking globally rather than on individual pages.
  3. Publish every landing page used in your advertising campaign.
My website platform isn't listed

Ask your website developer to install the Well Planned Advertiser Campaign Tracking using either a Google Tag Manager integration or the manual installation instructions above. Most website platforms include a GTM, Analytics, Header Code, or Custom Code option that supports this installation.

Campaign Tracking Verification

Once you have published the tracking installation, your Well Planned Advertiser Campaign Manager will verify that GTM-PVRHXN8N is active on every website, storefront, or landing page included in your Programmatic and Meta advertising campaigns.

  • Publish all website changes before notifying your Campaign Manager.
  • Install the tracking on every campaign destination where visitors may land.
  • Confirm each website or landing page is live and publicly accessible.
  • Clear your website cache or CDN after publishing the installation.
  • Keep each campaign destination available while verification is completed.
  • Notify your Campaign Manager if the website, domain, or tracking setup changes later.
Your Campaign Manager will complete the final check. You are not responsible for confirming whether the tracking is collecting data correctly. Your Well Planned Advertiser Campaign Manager will test the installation and contact you if any updates are needed before your campaigns begin.

Quick Troubleshooting

These are the most common reasons a tracking installation cannot be verified. Your Campaign Manager may ask you or your website provider to complete one of the steps below.

What happened? Likely reason What to do
The tracking container cannot be found. The installation may not have been published, the previous cached version of the website may still be loading, or the Container ID may have been entered incorrectly. Confirm the Container ID is GTM-PVRHXN8N, publish the website, clear any website or CDN cache, and notify your Campaign Manager.
The code appears in the website editor but is not active on the live website. The code may have been added to a draft, preview, individual page block, or template area that does not load across the public website. Move the installation to the platform's site-wide Google Tag Manager, analytics, header code, or custom code setting, then republish.
Tracking is active on one page or website but not another. Each separate domain, storefront, or landing page may require its own installation. Install GTM-PVRHXN8N on every destination included in your Programmatic or Meta campaign.
The website is under construction, private, or password protected. Your Campaign Manager cannot verify tracking on a page that is not publicly accessible. Make the campaign destination publicly available before requesting verification.
I do not manage or have access to the website. Your website developer, agency, internal technology team, or hosting provider controls the website settings. Send them this installation guide and the Container ID GTM-PVRHXN8N. Ask them to install it across every website or landing page included in the campaign.

Ready for Verification?

After the tracking has been installed and published on every campaign destination, return to your Client Campaign Dashboard and let your Campaign Manager know the installation is ready. We will verify the connection and confirm that your website is prepared for Programmatic and Meta retargeting before campaign launch.
